Groupe Berkem will attend the IRG55 Conference!

Groupe Berkem will attend the IRG55 Conference of the International Research Group on Wood Protection at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Knoxville, in the state of Tennessee in the USA from May 19 to 23, 2024. Two scientific posters will be presented, and one oral presentation will be supported:

• The first poster entitled “Laboratory and field evaluations of bio-based termiticide containing Arnica extract from Berkem Biosolutions® against native and Formosan subterranean termites” will present the results of field and laboratory trials of the efficacy of a 100% plant-based anti-termite solution containing Arnica extract against Coptotermes formosanus and Reticulitermes sp. termites.

• The second poster entitled “Efficacy performance of Pea Extract as bait toxicant for termite control in Reunion Island” will show the results of efficacy tests carried out on Reunion Island on a pea-based extract as an anti-termite bait.

• An oral presentation will be given entitled “Laboratory evaluation of PA1b, an insecticidal protein extracted from pea seeds (Pisum sativum), as bait active ingredient against the subterranean termite Coptotermes gestroi (Blattodea: Rhinotermitidae) in tropical zones”. Laboratory tests will be presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of an insecticidal protein PA1b from Pisum sativum seeds as an anti-termite bait.
